The Tarka Trail Bead

Introducing our newest collection of beads for the UK's most popular coast paths, cycle routes and national trails! 

The Tarka Trail is a 180 mile walking and cycling route in a figure of eight loop exploring the beautiful coastal and countryside of North Devon. 

We are so lucky to have part of the Tarka Trail as our daily commute! We wanted to capture all the colours of the North Devon countryside as well as our beautiful white sand beaches. We used a core of green marble glass which is rolled in a mixture of green, blue and brown glass shards. This is then melted and swirled together to capture the ever changing colours of the Rivers Taw and Torridge and the seasons over the moors. This is then encased with a streamer glass with a sand coloured core for our beaches and river banks before being encased with a transparent emerald glass.  

As with all of our cycle route beads, it has been decorated with flat black meandering paths around the surface of the bead.

Each bead has been thoughtfully designed and handmade in our studio in Braunton, North Devon.

Please expect variations in patterns and shapes due to the unique nature of each bead.
