Southern Upland Way Bead
Introducing our newest collection of beads for the UK's most popular coast paths, cycle routes and national trails!
The Southern Upland Way is Scotland's original coast to coast route spanning 214 miles from Portpatrick in the west to Cockburnspath in the east. This route passes through Scotlands most beautiful countryside, forests and historic towns.
There was a lot we wanted to capture in this bead! We started with a core of green for the forests of Galloway and grey for the craggy hills and ruins. The core is covered in a wrap of clear before we add arches of brown glass to represent the Striding Arch. More clear glass is then added to finish the bead to full size before we have added the meandering raised grey path joined by the three flattened grey dots. These three cairns represent the meeting point of three of the largest Scottish estates.
Each bead has been thoughtfully designed and handmade in our studio in Braunton, North Devon.
Please expect variations in patterns and shapes due to the unique nature of each bead.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.
