The Taff Trail Bead
Introducing our newest collection of beads for the UK's most popular coast paths, cycle routes and national trails!
The Taff Trail is a walking and cycling path that runs for 55 miles (88km) between Cardiff and Brecon along a mixture of riverside paths, railway paths and forest roads.
After heading out of Cardiff city you’ll follow the Taff corridor north along mountain back drops and past heritage towns. After passing through the coal mining town of Merthyr Tydfil with its impressive Cyfarthfa Castle you head up to Brecon past picturesque mountain landscapes, crashing waterfalls and beautiful reservoirs.
The bead is inspired by the historic coal mining towns and impressive viaducts along the Taff Trail. We used a core of light grey which is rolled over shards of black glass that are melted in to represent coal. This is then encased with clear glass before we add a window of grey glass to one side with white dots layered onto it with green dots to the other side.
As with all of our cycle route beads, it has been decorated with a flat black meandering path around the surface of the bead
Each bead has been thoughtfully designed and handmade in our studio in Braunton, North Devon.
Please expect variations in patterns and shapes due to the unique nature of each bead.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.

Standard Nalu Bead Size: width 9.5mm, diameter 16.5mm, core 4mm
Bespoke Mini Nalu Bead Size: width 8mm, diameter 14mm, core 4mm
Bespoke Core Size: 5mm suitable to fit alternative jewellery brands.
