Offa's Dyke Path Bead
Introducing our newest collection of beads for the UK's most popular coast paths, cycle routes and national trails!
Offa’s Dyke Path is a 177 mile (285 Km) long walking trail named after the Dyke King Offa who ordered its construction in the 8th century to divide his Kingdom of Mercia from others! This trail passes through the Brecon Beacons National Park and links three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the Wye Valley, the Shropshire Hills and the Clwydian Range / Dee Valley.
To capture the colours of the surrounding countryside and mountains of the Beacons, we have used a transparent olive green glass for the core of our Offa's Dyke bead and rolled this over a layer of large shards of different shades of brown frit. This is then encased in a year of transparent light amber glass before being decorated with a raised grey meandering path on the surface of the bead, as with all of our walking trail beads.
Each bead has been thoughtfully designed and handmade in our studio in Braunton, North Devon.
Please expect variations in patterns and shapes due to the unique nature of each bead.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.
