North Downs Way Bead
Introducing our newest collection of beads for the UK's most popular coast paths, cycle routes and national trails!
The North Downs Way National Trail offers walkers 153 miles (246 km) of beautiful scenery and pretty villages. Passing through two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty: the Surrey Hills and the Kent Downs, the trail also follows the famous Pilgrims’ Way.
Inspired by the colours of the landscape along the trail...the grey ruins, white chalk cliffs, yellow blossom and green fields...we used a pale green for the core and rolled it over shards of white, yellow and grey frit before casing with clear glass. The surface of the bead has five raised dots in brown to represent the large steel sign at the official starting point.
As with all of our walking trail beads, it has been decorated with a raised grey meandering path on the surface of the bead.
Each bead has been thoughtfully designed and handmade in our studio in Braunton, North Devon.
Please expect variations in patterns and shapes due to the unique nature of each bead.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.
