Cotswold Way Bead
Introducing our newest collection of beads for the UK's most popular coast paths, cycle routes and national trails!
Starting at the English market town of Chipping Campden to the Roman city of Bath, the 102-mile (164 km) Cotswold Way has existed as a promoted long-distance walk and had its 50th anniversary in 2020.
It follows the western edge of the Cotswold Hills which takes you through rolling pastures, beech woodland and picturesque villages built from Cotswold stone. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it passes through Neolithic burial barrows, stately homes and historic battle sites. The stunning path along the Cotswold escarpment offers ever-changing views to the west towards the River Severn and the Malvern Hills.
Inspired by the lush green hills along this route we chose a pale green for the core and sprinkled it with shards of lavender glass. This is then encased with clear glass before being rolled in sand coloured glass shards in the colour of Cotswold Stone. The bead is then tumbled to give it a soft matte finish.
As with all of our walking trail beads, it has been decorated with a raised grey meandering path on the surface of the bead.
Each bead has been thoughtfully designed and handmade in our studio in Braunton, North Devon.
Please expect variations in patterns and shapes due to the unique nature of each bead.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.
