C2C Northern Whitehaven to Tynemouth Cycle Route Bead
Introducing our newest collection of beads for the UK's most popular coast paths, cycle routes and national trails!
There are many coast to coast routes nowadays but we thought we would start with the original which runs the 150 miles from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Tynemouth in Northumberland.
We wanted to capture the rolling scenery from the coast of the Irish Sea across the Lake District and Pennines before heading back towards the North Sea coast. We used a gravity swirling technique with green and periwinkle glass for the entire bead, this will make each bead unique just like each individual cyclists journey! The surface of the bead is sprinkle with a reactive frit which will shimmer on the surface to capture the lakes dotted on the landscape. The bead is then decorated with a white arch to represent the Millennium Bridge in Newcastle that signals you are near the end of your adventure!
As with all of our cycle route beads, it has been decorated with flat black meandering paths around the surface of the bead.
Each bead has been thoughtfully designed and handmade in our studio in Braunton, North Devon.
Please expect variations in patterns and shapes due to the unique nature of each bead.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.
