St Mawes Bead
St Mawes is a fishing village on the end of the Roseland Peninsula. It is situated East of Falmouth harbour in Cornwall. It sits within the Gulf Stream so the temperature is mild most the year round. St Mawes has three boatyards and a hub for boats and yachting. St Mawes is a very popular holiday destination and it has two small beaches.
Our St Mawes bead has been created by making a base bead in teal glass and encasing it in clear glass; this portrays the beautiful colour of the water and adds depth. The bead is then rolled in a handmade frit, tiny shards of coloured glass that represent all the boats on the water. The bead is then wrapped in a thin line of purple marble glass to portray the seafront and picturesque harbour.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.
