Quantock Hills Bead
Introducing our newest collection of Countryside beads!
The Quantock Hills is an area of outstanding natural beauty and sits west of Bridgewater in Somerset. The hills run from the Vale of Taunton Deane ending at Klive and West Quantoxhead near the Bristol Channel. It is a wonderful place to walk and explore and has beautiful panoramic views over much of Somerset and across to the Welsh coast., rolling hills, wooded valleys and heathland.
Our pretty Quantocks bead has been created by making a base bead in white and then rolling the bead when hot in Frit (tiny shards of coloured glass) The colours within the frit represent the colours found within the beautiful moorlands. The bead is then heated to a high temperature, which allows the colours to swirl portraying the rolling hills. The bead is then rolled in the frit again but left proud representing the rugged heathland.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.
