Porthcothan Bead
This north west facing cove is situated on north Cornwall’s wild Atlantic coast between Padstow and Newquay. Surrounded by grassy dunes, this sandy beach is sheltered by the surrounding cliffs and dramatic rock formations.
Porthcothan is a quiet, non crowded surfing spot. It’s best on a mid tide and if it’s breaking 5ft at Constantine then head here as it’s normally a foot smaller.
We started off with a base of Turquoise Marble which is wrapped with a trio of White, Lapis and Turquoise glass stringers and melted until all the colours swirl and mix together. The bead is then decorated with clear bobbles to add texture as we wanted to convey the wild feel of the Atlantic as it sweeps around the rocks and into the cove.

Bespoke Mini Nalu Bead Size: width 8mm, diameter 14mm, core 4mm
