Mentawai Islands Bead
The Mentawai Islands are a chain of about seventy islands and islets off the western coast of Sumatra in Indonesia. Siberut (4,030 km²) is the largest of the islands. The other major islands are Sipura, North Pagai (Pagai Utara) and South Pagai (Pagai Selatan). The islands lie approximately 150 km off the Sumatran coast, across the Mentawai Strait.
Our beautiful Mentawai beads are made with a small core of white glass with dots of gold stone 'islands' which are then encased with a transparent turquoise glass.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.

Bespoke Mini Nalu Bead Size: width 8mm, diameter 14mm, core 4mm
