Limited Edition Beach Sand Beads
We recently came across these beautiful rods of filigrana glass rods and thought they would be perfect for some limited edition beach sand beads! There are three different colours to choose from and these beads really will be very unique!
Filigrana glass rods consist of a transparent colour of glass with very thin stringers of different colours running through the rod. When we melt these rods around a madre, these stringers appear as thin streamers of colour running around the bead with each bead being completely different depending on how the streamers fall.
Each bead is made with a small core of white glass which is rolled over grains of sand from your chosen beach before being encased with one of our streamer rods. Choose from the Sea Anemone, Festival or Coral Reef rods.
Coral Reef - a clear glass rod with streamers of yellow, orange, green and black.
Sea Anemone - a lilac glass rod with streamers of red, white and orange.
Festival - a clear rod with streamers of yellow, dark orange, green and black.
Your bead will be made to order and will be different to the beads in the images. Although the colours within the bead will be the same, the amounts of different colours and streamers will vary.
We only have a limited number of these rods available, once we run out these beads will be discontinued.
Please be aware that your Beach Sand Bead is going to be entirely unique and may not look like the bead in the product photograph. Each pinch of sand from every beach is entirely different as it is composed of different natural elements. Some elements will cause a reaction that creates bubbles, some just burn up and it’s difficult to get a lot of grains to show. We are sometimes limited by the amount of sand we can encase in a bead due to these reactions as they may cause weaknesses in the bead which can lead to cracking. Unfortunately we have no control over how the sand may react in each bead we make so please expect a variety of variations in your bead due to the nature of us adding a natural inconsistent material to extreme heat in molten glass. We can however guarantee that each bead is individual and made with love.

Bespoke Mini Nalu Bead Size: width 8mm, diameter 14mm, core 4mm
Bespoke Core Size: 5mm suitable to fit alternative jewellery brands.
