Kynance Cove Bead
Kynance Cove is on the eastern side of Mounts Bay on the Lizard peninsular in Cornwall, which is the most southerly point of the British Mainland. It’s turquoise, crystal clear waters, white sand and dramatic rock formations mean it is the most painted and photographed beach in the U.K.
We wanted to convey the movement of the swirling, clear shallows around the caves and islands so Teal Green was overlaid with Green Marble and brought together with a swirl twisting the middle. We then poke the bead whilst hot to insert small air bubbles into the glass, this gives the impression of the glass being alive like the sea itself!
