Hayle Bead
The town of Hayle is situated on a beautiful estuary on the edge of St. Ives Bay in West Cornwall. It was an important tin trading port for years during the Industrail Revolution which has lead to the towns status as a World Heritage Site. With 3 miles of golden sands and wide estuary to explore, there’s plenty to see in Hayle and with it’s consistent surf and turquoise seas it draws in plenty of visitors throughout the year.
The sloping cliffs of Hayle are covered with a blanket of heather which is why we chose this lush purple marble glass for the base bead. We then encased the bead in Ink Blue, heat and swirl to create this gravity effect within the bead. It is then rolled over spikes which punch bubbles into the bead before wrapping it in a layer of Clear glass to finish it off.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.
