Durban Bead
Durban is the largest city in the province of Kwazulu- Natal, South Africa. It’s a busy port and major tourism destination. Durban or ‘Surf cIty’ as it is commonly known has a golden mile of beautiful white sand beaches set with a number of groins and piers lapped by the joining oceans of the Indian and Atlantic.
The inspiration behind this bead was to capture the hustle and bustle of the city against the contrast of the sea and sky. The orange half of this bead represents the rich African sunsets whilst the Lapis/Ivory half, the ocean. We then wrapped a stringer of silver leaf around the middle reflecting the city against its sandy beaches.

Bespoke Mini Nalu Bead Size: width 8mm, diameter 14mm, core 4mm
