Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park Bead
We are so excited to finally be able to share these amazing new beads for all 15 National Parks around the UK with you!
The Beacons is an area of outstanding beauty with its deep gorges, glacial cliffs, amazing waterfalls and views as far as the eye can see!
It’s said that on a clear night in the Brecon Beacons you can see bright nebulas, the Milky Way and even meteor showers and this is what inspired the design of this bead! We have used a technique called gravity swirling which creates unique patterns within the glass which look like swirling nebulas of stars shining in these dark night skies.
We start by making a little core in light grey glass which is then rolled in a special blend of Brecon Beacons frit before being melted and swirled in the flame. We then wrap silver foil around this bead before encasing it with a transparent grey glass.

Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.

Standard Nalu Bead Size: width 9.5mm, diameter 16.5mm, core 4mm
Bespoke Mini Nalu Bead Size: width 8mm, diameter 14mm, core 4mm
Bespoke Core Size: 5mm suitable to fit alternative jewellery brands.
