Tignes is a group of 5 villages that form a ski resort in the French Alps near the Italian border. It’s closest neighbour is Val d'Isere and was the free style skiing venue for the 1992 Winter Olympics.
Our inspiration behind the Tignes bead was to capture the stunning blue skies above the vast mass of brilliant white snow. We achieved this by making our own frit blend which is then rolled onto a white base bead and melted in. Once it has been through the cooling process, it is then tumbled to give it a frosted matt finish.

Standard Nalu Bead Size: width 9.5mm, diameter 16.5mm, core 4mm
Bespoke Mini Nalu Bead Size: width 8mm, diameter 14mm, core 4mm
Bespoke Core Size: 5mm suitable to fit alternative jewellery brands.
