Known for it’s soft, fine golden sands Sandbanks is itself a small peninsular. The beach itself gently slopes into the ocean making it a safe area for swimming.
Considered to be the best beach on the south coast, it has been the holder of the European Blue Flag for a record 26 years!
There is a ferry which shuttles between Sandbanks and Studland which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour.
There is an air of exclusivity, it’s well known for it’s expensive real estate and expensive hotels.
We started off with a base of yellow for this Sandbanks bead to represent the golden sands on this peninsula. It is then rolled in a unique blend of opaque blue frit, made up especially for this bead, before being encased in clear glass.
Our Sandbanks beads are made by Kat in her studio in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
We try our very best to keep the patterns on our beads as consistent as possible but due to the nature of each one being individually handmade, please except there to be variations in each bead...this is what makes your Nalu unique!
