Rincon Bead
Rincon is a popular surf spot in Santa Barbara in southern California. Rincon is Spanish for ‘angle’ or ‘corner”. It is also known as the ‘Queen of the Coast’ being one of the most famous spots in California. Every January the Rincon Classic Surf Comp takes place here with longboarders flocking from all over the world to compete.
This perfect right hand point break with its barreling sections is always crowded but the surf is better through the winter months when the swell runs in from the northwest.
The Rincon bead sits perfectly in our American collection capturing the vibe of the waves and colour change of the sea. The sea here often has tones of teals and greens with the beach being fringed by lush palms and trees. The bead is made by layering 5 thin lines twisted together at one point to create a wave.
