Kimmeridge Bay Bead

Sale price£12.95

Kimmeridge Bay is located on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and boasts probably the best rockpooling and snorkelling site in Dorset!

The south west facing bay is roughly semi-circular and lies within a marine Special Area of Conservation. It is backed by low, clay cliffs and has a rocky shoreline. The shallow waters of the bay produce perfect conditions for the display of colourful marine life.

Waves created by the rock ledges mean the spot is popular with surfers although the perfect swell conditions are rare and its often blown out.

We used ivory lapis glass, for the sea half of this bead and a lush transparent lavender for the sky, then wrapped a yellow ivory stringer around the middle, representing the rocky clay shoreline.
