Huntington beach is a seaside city in Orange County, California. Huntington beach is known for its 9 1/2 mile long stretch of gorgeous sandy beach. It is nicknamed “surf city” due to it having consistent all year round surf. The consistency of the waves are due to the swell having edge diffraction around Catalina Island, that along with the North Pacific winter swells and Southern Hemisphere storms and hurricanes!
Huntington Beach Pier is one of the most popular landmarks and a meeting place for surfers. The building at the end of the pier, Ruby’s Diner, has a bright red roof and can be seen for miles down the coast.

The inspiration behind this bead was to capture the atmosphere of this busy seaside city. A light teal glass has been wrapped around the centre of a white base bead to capture the beautiful colour of the water. We have then decorated the bead with thin black lines that represent the structure of the pier. The red dots placed around the sides are representative of the bustle of the city and the focal point of Ruby’s Diner at the end of the pier.

We try our very best to keep the patterns on our beads as consistent as possible but due to the nature of each one being individually handmade, please except there to be variations in each bead...this is what makes your Nalu unique!
