Freshwater West is a South Westerly facing beach on the Pembrokeshire coast boasting some of the best waves in the county. This wide sandy beach has an extensive dune system with a rocky reef at its southern end and little bays at the other.
Look out for the thatched shack at the southern end of the bay, this was once used in the drying of a specific variety of seaweed used in the making of the Welsh speciality, Lavabread. The beautiful scenery here has also been the back drop for Dobby’s Shell Cottage in the popular feature film, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.

We were inspired by this beaches reputation of strong currents and waves, we captured this in the dramatic black and blue zig zag lines running around the bead. These colours against the white give it contrast and show off the beautiful shapes, like crashing waves. The red dots are a representation of the Welsh flag into the range.

We try our very best to keep the patterns on our beads as consistent as possible but due to the nature of each one being individually handmade, please except there to be variations in each bead...this is what makes your Nalu unique!
