Chesil Beach is one of Dorsets most iconic landmarks and it’s easy to see why when you gaze across its 18 mile stretch of shingle. With more pebbles than you can ever imagine they roar as the ocean rolls over them onto its shoreline.
This bead was all about capturing the sweeping stretch of this coastline with its grey, sandy coloured shingle against the blue ocean all swirling and rolling together. To do this we melted a mixture of New Ivory, Amber and Turquoise Marble glass together to create a gravity effect…no two of these beads will ever be the same! This bead has been tumbled to give a matt textured effect as if it’s been rolling amongst the pebbles of Chesil Beach.
Our Chesil Beach beads are made by Sarah in our studio in Braunton, North Devon.
We try our very best to keep the patterns on our beads as consistent as possible but due to the nature of each one being individually handmade, please except there to be variations in each bead...this is what makes your Nalu unique!
