Cayton Bay Bead
Cayton is a village in North Yorkshire situated between Scarborough and Filey. Cayton has a beautiful unspoilt beach with an expanse of sand. It is popular with surfers and windsurfers and is an exposed beach break.
The colours found along the coastline inspire our Cayton bead. A blend of frit, tiny shards of coloured glass, are sprinkled on to a base of white glass pulling in colours from the sea, beach and evening sunsets. The bead is then encased in a clear glass to add depth. The bead is then rolled in white frit portraying the waves rolling in.
Our Cayton Bay beads are made by Sarah in our studio in Braunton, North Devon.
We try our very best to keep the patterns on our beads as consistent as possible but due to the nature of each one being individually handmade, please except there to be variations in each bead...this is what makes your Nalu unique!
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.
