Bournemouth Bead
Bournemouth is a large coastal town in Dorset on the south Coast. It is directly east of the Jurassic Coast which stretches for 96 miles.
Surfing is popular at Bournemouth as it is one of the closest beaches from London. It has 7 miles of sandy beaches and it's own micro-climate and therefore has some of the warmest sea temperatures in the UK.
When designing this bead we decided to take inspiration from the flora and fauna on the cliff tops and the beautiful view looking into the sea. We used half dark teal glass and cobalt blue glass over white to capture the colour of the shimmering water which made a great contrast to the white flower and dots on the bead.
