Allenheads Bead - Northumberland
The ancient lead mining village of Allenheads is situated in the North Pennies range in Northumberland. There are two runs here which can have excellent quality snow. To use the facilities here you must be a member of Ski-Allenheads so head over to their site and join up today!
We wanted to capture the colours of the landscape with streaks of ‘lead’ running through it. To do this we’ve swirled a core of white with brown and green glass shards to create a unique marbled effect. This is then encased with clear glass which is wrapped with a thin white stringer, to finish the bead we roll it in the more glass shards which we leave proud on the surface to represent the woodland on the lower slopes of this beautiful ski area.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.

Standard Nalu Bead Size: width 9.5mm, diameter 16.5mm, core 4mm
Bespoke Mini Nalu Bead Size: width 8mm, diameter 14mm, core 4mm
Bespoke Core Size: 5mm suitable to fit alternative jewellery brands.
