Aldeburgh
Aldeburgh is a coastal town in Suffolk, north of the river Alde. It has pretty pastel coloured 19th century holiday villas along the promenade and is known for its connections to Benjamin Britten the founder of the Aldeburgh festival. It has a pebble and sand beach and a number of historical buildings including Martello tower. Although Aldeburgh beach is not known for its surf it is popular with visitors.
Our beautiful Aldeburgh bead is made using a pretty purple glass. The bead is then carefully rolled in frit (tiny shards of coloured glass) in pastel colours to represent the buildings along the seafront. The bead is then decorated with a line of ivory glass and silver wire to portray the beach.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.
