The Trap Aberystwyth Bead
Aberystwyth is a popular seaside town in Ceredigion, Wales. The Aberystwyth harbour trap is an exposed reef break located near the marina at the southern end of Aberystwyth promenade. It is a popular surf spot and has a consistent wave throughout the year.
The trap bead is inspired by the rolling waves and the structure of the marina. The bead is made in a deep transparent turquoise glass and then carefully decorated in a handmade glass of Ivory and silver leaf. The decoration not only portrays the framework of the marina but also catches the colour of the crest of the wave. Once the bead has been made it is tumbled in a barrel to give it is beautiful matt finish, sea glass look.
