Tiree Bead
£10.79
A glass charm bead inspired by surfing the Isle of Tiree in Scotland. Collect our Murano glass and silver surf beads to build your own bracelet, anklet or necklace.

The Isle of Tiree is the most westerly island in the Inner Hebrides. It is a tranquil, calm and flat island with a vast expanse of white sand. It is one of the sunniest places in Britain and has warmth from the Gulf Stream. Tiree is great for surfing as it produces a mix of waves including powerful beach breaks and long waves, perfect for longboarding.
The sea lapping the white sands of the beach inspired our pretty Tiree bead. It has been made with a core of white and then carefully rolled in a speciality frit (shards of coloured glass) called spirit in the sky. While the bead is hot it is rolled in silver powder representing the reflection of the sun dancing on the sea. The bead is then encased in clear glass, which adds depth.
Our Tiree beads are made by Sarah in our studio in Braunton, North Devon.
We try our very best to keep the patterns on our beads as consistent as possible but due to the nature of each one being individually handmade, please except there to be variations in each bead...this is what makes your Nalu unique!
