Crow Point Bead

Sale price£12.95

On the outskirts of Braunton (Devon’s own surf central) where the rivers of the Taw and Torridge meet, lies Crow Point. From the estuary before the bay, golden sands wrap around the rolling dunes of the Braunton Burrows one of the largest sand dune systems in the British Isles and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. This has created unique landscape much loved by locals that is constantly evolving.

We chose a beautiful light amber glass as the base of this bead to represent the ever changing sand banks in the estuary. Two stringers of ivory glass and silver foil have then been wrapped around the bead and swirled in the middle to create the effect of the River Taw washing around the sand banks on the rising and falling tides. The bead has then been tumbled to give it a matt sea glass finish.
