It may not have been Nalu’s first wedding appearance, but it was our first radical rock ‘n’ roll affair.
We were honoured to be commissioned to create some bespoke jewellery for Becky and Nik’s big day at Woolacombe Bay in North Devon.
A long-time Nalu Beads fan, Becky got in touch and asked whether we could help, and needless to say, we jumped at the chance (especially when we heard that their wedding favours included tequila - we knew these were our people!). In Fact this wedding was so rock 'n' roll, it has been featured in Rock 'n' Roll Bride Magazine!
Becky opted for our Beach Drop Silver Thread Earrings - and we just love how she wore them, pulled through that bit further, leaving the thread dangling down behind the ear - so cool! These were paired with a three-bead Beach Drop Silver Necklace containing grains of sand from Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton beaches.
We worked with their colour scheme, the tones of their natural beachy environment and Becky’s own colouring to produce a set of beads in beachy blue, a sandy-earthy tone and a clear sparkle.
She also wore a green leather wrap bracelet with our Perfect Wave, Sea and Sand, North Devon Coastline and Spiral silver charms set against her sleeve of epic tattoos.
Their Bridesmaid, Emma, was also adorned in Nalu’s nature-inspired jewellery; this time it was one of our Sand Pebble Necklaces. These beautiful coloured glass and silk cord necklaces (or silver) are popular and well-received gifts for bridesmaids.
Not just for girls!
Along with Bridesmaid Emma, their sons Finn and Charlie and Best Man Matt also wore Nalu Beads’ Sand Pebble Necklaces made with grains of sand from Woolacombe Beach.
The gorgeous, earthy-toned photography from Sonder | West depicts the day beautifully and the backdrop of Woolacombe Bay Hotel blends perfectly.
