Plastic Free North Devon Charity Bead

Sale price£12.95

We are so excited to be able to offer you a very special bead for our wonderful local charity...Plastic Free North Devon. We wanted to create a very special bead so we decided to approach the local secondary schools and ask them to design the bead for PFND. We had so many beautiful designs it wasn't easy to choose but the eventual winner was Bethany Smith! The inspiration behind Bethanys design is:

"My design represents two different oceans. The blue and green wave represent a clean healthy sea, whereas the pink and purple wave represents plastic that has ended up in our oceans. Of the 260 million tons of plastic that the world produces, 10% ends up in the ocean. That's why the wave of plastic is bigger to emphasise that if the rate of plastic pollution continues to increase it will effect everyone."

The PFND team work tirelessly to keep our local beaches clean and free from plastics as well as assisting the local community to become plastic free. You'll find them out and about all over North Devon so we want to do what we can to help them! We will be donating £2 from every sale of one of these beads to PFND.
