Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands set between England and France. It is known for its beautiful scenery and beaches. Jersey also has some of the most dramatic tide changes in the world and relies on solid Atlantic groundswell for its good waves. Once known as the surf capital of Europe, it has been a popular surf destination for over 80 years!
The inspiration behind our Jersey bead was to capture its beautiful scenic coastlines. We have done this by creating a unique frit (tiny shards of glass) which is inspired by the colours of the flora and fauna found along the coast. This frit blend is a mixture of aqua marine, emerald and yellow ochre glass which is melted onto sky blue glass, then carefully encased in a clear glass to give it depth and decorated with dots.
Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in every bead. This is what makes your Nalu unique!
