Trevone Bead

Trevone is a little seaside village on the North Cornish coast, about 2 miles from Padstow. This golden sand beach with its gently sloping shelves produces some good waves on the right tide. For those who prefer a good walk there is plenty of gorgeous coastline and the Camel Estuary to explore or maybe find yourself a little sandy alcove and gaze out dreamily to sea.

We wanted to capture the different colours of the sea and coast from season to season. We hoped to do this by using different hues of blues, greens and purple glasses. During the winter months the sea is deep and dark whilst in the summer it turns shimmery blue and green. We’ve used these colours to randomly decorate the bead, added a bit of shimmer sparkle then encased it in a Dark Lavender transparent glass.
