Mavericks Bead
Mavericks is located in North California about 2 miles off shore from Pillar Point harbour. This is a winter destination spot with Pacific Ocean storms producing waves over 25ft. These huge waves are break over shallow rock formations on the sea bed with only a few brave enough to risk it’s biggest days!
We wanted the Mavericks bead to capture the size of the enormous waves that break here along with the intense atmosphere. We felt that a gravity bead (a bead made using twists and swirls of glass) would capture this best. Not only emphasising the dramatic crashing waves but also the beautiful swirling colours of the sea.

Each Nalu Bead is individually handmade so please expect there to be variations in patterns and colours, this is what makes your Nalu Bead unique.

Standard Nalu Bead Size: width 9.5mm, diameter 16.5mm, core 4mm
Bespoke Mini Nalu Bead Size: width 8mm, diameter 14mm, core 4mm
Bespoke Core Size: 5mm suitable to fit alternative jewellery brands.
